St Mawes One Design Centenary

The blustery weekend weather failed to dent the party spirit and enthusiasm for the St Mawes One Design class as it celebrated its 100 years of racing on the weekend of 15/16 July.  The pretty 16-foot daysailer, suitable for cruising and racing, was designed by local boat builder, Frank Peters, in 1923 and 45 boats were built, with regular weekly racing taking place at St Mawes Sailing Club.
