Club Quay

Stoneworks Quay is used to store members' dinghies (both tenders and sailing dinghies) and outboard engines. Other facilities on the quay include:

  • Two Slipways
  • Pontoon
  • Launching Trolleys
  • Outhauls
  • Toilets and Showers
  • Fresh Water and Hoses
  • External Mains Electricity Sockets
  • Secure Storage for outboard engines
  • Teaching room for Sail Training and RYA courses

Access Road
Vehicular access to the quay down the access road is for loading only. Please do not park cars here.

Warning
Members and visitors use the club premises and all facilities, including the moorings, entirely at their own risk. Neither the Club nor its officers or servants accept responsibility for injury, damage or loss, howsoever caused.

Security
Entry to the engine shed is by a swipe fob reader. Cards are issued to all owners of stored engines. Replacement fobs and ones for those wishing to store oars may be obtained at a cost of £5 from the Quay Manager. The engine shed and the toilets will be automatically alarmed and locked during the hours of darkness when no access will be possible. Security is paramount and the club apologises for any inconvenience caused. It is recommended that equipment is removed from the quay and quay building whenever practical (such as over the winter period) to reduce the risk of theft. Numbered stickers are provided by the Club to identify all stored boats and engines. The Club recommends that further security marks are applied to improve identification and to deter thieves.

Litter
The Club does not provide refuse facilities on the quay and users are asked to remove all of their rubbish. The St. Mawes Harbour Company provides litter bins for visiting yachtsmen behind the Ferry Office on the Town Quay and recycling bins are sited in the St Mawes car park.

Applications
Applications for the storage of boats or engines for the following year should be made by members not later than 31 December, using the online 2024 Application Form, which details prices. Short periods of storage may be arranged with the Quay Secretary, (quaysec@stmawessailing.co.uk).
