80th D-Day Anniversary Commemorative Flotilla
Thursday June 6th, 2024

Falmouth Town Council, Falmouth BID, Falmouth Harbour Commissioners and the Port of Truro are organising a flotilla to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy.
Our ports want to recognise the largest seaborne invasion in history and to honour the service and sacrifice of the Allied Forces, many of whom were stationed in and around Falmouth during the Second World War.

The flotilla of what is hoped to be over 80 boats, will muster at 14.30 at Tolverne pool, north of the King Harry Ferry and make their way down the River Fal at 15.00, passing some of the locations where servicemen embarked before crossing The Channel.

The aim is to motor down the main channel of Carrick Roads and to finish off Gyllyngvase Beach (weather permitting) before dispersal.

Anyone wishing to take part MUST upload a copy of their boat insurance document. You will NOT be able to partake if you have not registered. All vessels must be under engine power.
It would be lovely if participating boats could dress overall.

You will need to sign in or create a Google account to register.
