The Laser SB3 has streaked into the sailing headlines over the last 3 years as one of the fastest growing, most exciting one design classes to develop in recent sailing.
In 3 years, the boat has gone from 0 to 73 entries in Cowes Week, attracting numerous sailors from other classes with its high performance and incredibly tight racing.
Despite its performance, the boat is surprisingly easy to sail with a well laid out cockpit. Being so light (all up just over 600kg), the loads are light enough for all strengths to manage. The boat is easily towed by a normal car and is launched from a trailer as it has a lifting keel.
There are 2 boats based in St Mawes at present racing on a regular basis with further interest from possible owners in both St Mawes and Falmouth.
